sample Weave screenshot thumbnail Here are two recent releases that are worthy of your attention:

While the IHME study is full of interesting insights into two decades of life-expectancy statistics and how they compare to those of other countries around the world, the major interest in the US press has been in the declines in fmale life expectancy in certain counties. The following visualizations, prepared using Weave, highlight the relevant statistics. once the visualizations have loaded, you can hover your mouse pointer over a county and see some relevant statistics about life expectancy. The first visualization shows the size and direction of change in female life expectancy over the 20-year period. The second visualization shows life expectancy for women for each year in each county. you can use your mouse pointer to select a year of interest in the "year-slider", or you can click the "play" button and watch the changes as the years scroll by. For help using Weave, see the User Guide or visit the Weave Project website.

If you are part of an organization that has a need to present information graphically on the Web, you can download the Weave application and install it on a computer or on a network server, but if you just want to work or play interactively with visualizations that others have created using Weave, all you need is your browser.
