At Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business on April 20, 2008, Monadnock Quaker Meeting approved the following revised version of its existing Minute on Marriage.
Monadnock Quaker Meeting welcomes requests for marriage under the care of this Meeting fom couples, regardless of race, gender or sexual identitiy, as long as one of the couple is a member or regular attender of this or another Quaker Meeting.
A Clearness Committee will engage the couple in faithful discernment about the wisdom of their marrriage, and an Oversight Committee will help them plan the ceremony in accordance with Quaker practice. The Meeting will continue to support the couple and to sustain the marriage.
